Darling,
I just wrote such heartfelt post and then my internet froze. RATS! I've lost my mojo now. In short, it was I love you and I hope you know that. Always. Everyday.

The house is quiet. You are finding treasures with Fia at Grandrabbits toy shop. The other day I wrote you a letter in my head as I drove to work. You fill me with such love. Thank you for being my son.

2nd annual backyard campout

This was the second year for our memorial day backyard campout with the Pope's. We had a BBQ, played, make a fire and s'mores, and kicked it in the tent...with hurricane like winds. Is it time for a nap yet?

Boulder Creek Festival

We made a morning out of going to the Boulder Creek Festival with Rachel and the kids on Saturday. You rode the train, bought a crank gift ( Zappy chewing gum), got a airbrush tattoo, walked around and ate cotton candy. It was a perfect morning.

R.I.P. Nib-nab

Little beta fish nib-nab went on the rainbow bridge a couple weeks ago. Dad took you to get a more mature beta who is called Rogers (shown in pic). Welcome to the family. He is quite spunky for a fish and shows lots of energy when talked to. Hopefully, he'll last longer than a month.

Field day 2012

You conquered field day on your own this year. Dad was able to make it to the SAC party though. Looks like you guys had a blast.

Mother's Day

Darling,
You wrote me the sweetest note and decorated a beautiful flower pot that included a gorgeous flower. We enjoyed brunch at the Pope's. Then went and saw the Avengers...again. It was a wonderful day. Thanks for making it so special.

Red Rocks Trail

Baby doll. We took an adventure to red rock trail in boulder and had a BLAST! We went up and over the rocks, explored the trails and even helped a little kid who fell and scraped his hand.

Scientist

Dear Scientist Cole,
The baggy filled with water with 6 pencils stuck through it was fun. Easy and no mess. Even the baby powder on top of water in a glass, poke your finger through and its still dry, experiment was not messy.

The mad scientist came out when mother decided to scrub her bathroom and leave said scientist unsupervised. This picture doesn't do it justice because shortly after, scientist had power EVERYWHERE! There is still a film of powder that coated the entire bathroom.

Scientist, however, got an immediate shower and I got to clean up.

I was irritated but scientist was having a really good time and laughing. I love it hear scientist laugh and be silly.

We had a great today! We went to Bean and Berry for breakfast, saw the new movie called Pirates, went for a bike ride and stopped at the park where we ran into your old friend Caitlin, we cleaned, and just enjoyed time together. Thanks for being such a good boy today.

Rockies Game

We went to the Rockies game last night with some other Emerald families. They won 18-9. We had hot dogs and cotton candy. You got to spend time with Carson too. Oh, they even handed out free shirts and you wore it all day today even though it XL and covers yor entire body.

You fell asleep in the car on the way home and of course woke up at the crack of dawn. Sweet sweet baby.

You probably thanked me 10 times today for taking you and expressed what a great time you had. It was a fantastic night. Thanks for spending it with me.

We went to walker ranch yesterday for some hiking and exploring. You and Sofia were cute as can be!

Happy Easter Coley! You went to church with Dad and colored eggs. And EB even visited you leaving you with candy and such.

Spring Break '12 - Day Ten

Keystone to Broomfield. We packed up, ate at the Haywood Cafe and cruised our way over Loveland Pass back to Broomfield.

When we got home, Uncle Derrick called and invited us to McDonald's to hang with the kids.

Spring Break '12 - Day Nine

Hiking, park, movie and bowling is how we spent our last full day in Keystone.

We made it to Lily Pad Lake!

 

You loved Historical Park in Frisco. The buildings were OLD!



We saw Mirror Mirror and then hit the bowling alley...the creepy bowling alley in Dillon. The whole town was deserted. We were waiting for Zombies to attack.  It was super creepy. Definitely won't be going back there.

You were exhausted and so was I.

Spring Break '12 - Day Eight

Tubing. The workers would spin you so fast that you had a headache by the end and I had a belly ache!

We finished off our perfect day with pizza at Pizza on the Plaza.

I'm so proud of you baby. We're hitting the slopes next year for sure!

Spring Break '12 - Day Seven

First snowboard lesson! Your instructor, Ben, said you did great. You learned to stop and the basics of turning. Let's see how you do today.

Spring Break '12- Day Six

Moab to Keystone. We spent the day skipping rocks, playing arcade games and walking around Breckinridge.

Then we found our way to the townhouse in Keystone and enjoyed some pool time before Katie and Zane arrived.

Big day tomorrow on the mountain.

 Heading back - Phoenix to Moab. A stop in Monument Valley left you worn out.
